Each school's published 25th and 75th LSAT and uGPA percentiles (the middle 50% of its most recent entering class) form the band. Safety = applicant's stats at or above the 75th on both metrics. Target = inside the middle 50% on both. Reach = below the 25th on at least one. No second weighting, no proprietary score, no soft-factor adjustment.

Every cell traces back to one of four public sources: ABA Standard 509 Required Disclosures (2011–2025), U.S. BLS OEWS attorney wages (occupation code 23-1011), U.S. BEA Regional Price Parities, and U.S. HUD Small Area FMR. Exhibit is a presentation layer; the authoritative source is the underlying disclosure or government release.

How often is the data refreshed?

The ABA publishes Standard 509 disclosures once per year, typically between December and February for the prior calendar year. Exhibit re-syncs within the month following each release. The 'Last synced' date in the disclaimer bar always reflects the most recent inline pull.

What does first-time bar pass measure, and why is it offset from the entering class?

First-time bar pass is the percent of a school's graduates who passed a U.S. state bar exam on their first attempt. Because law school is three years, a school's most recent first-time bar number describes graduates who entered roughly three years earlier, not the most recent entering class shown elsewhere on the same school's page.
